Buying Cars in this country may be possible BUT as a foreigner you can NOT register the car. this means if you want to drive thro this country in your own transport you will need to buy the car outside Italy. I will add to this when I have been thro this exercise.

BOOKING ACCOMMODATION

LOOK for the cancellation fee, most of these companys rip into you if for some reason you cancell.

When I discovered the above about cars & Italy I had already booked to fly into Rome & had booked a hotel thro Hotel Reservation Worldwide (Hotel Club) so I had to cancel the booking this cost me 12 Euros, they did reduce it from their normal charge of 30 Euro (HELL) which means as far as I am concerned I will not be using them again there are many organizations thro which you can book see http://www.ivan.co.nz/travelhotels.htm when they saw this notice they questioned my policy and upon reading my reply* said "Maybe you should be more careful about who you recommend on your website and look closer before bad mouthing reputable companies." Ouch! ...why do I get the feeling they should not be dealt with?

Cancellations are normal part of any travel business, those that win will have the most user friendly customer relations, you have elected to be in this business, but you over look the customers point of view, WHAT are the numbers of cancellations on a percentage of your daily business, is it worth it? There will be many like me that will NOT use your company again UNLESS they can not get a product elsewhere and that does not look like it will be a problem to find others
